2PraiseGod is a “place” for those who are like me and need encouragement as we take our daily walk with Christ. It’s where you can receive inspirational words of encouragement and be ministered to by the Holy Spirit right where you are.
It’s a “place” where non believers, backsliders and sinners can go and be saved because of the non judgmental presence on this site. They will want to know God for themselves and surrender to Christ. Praise God!
In its entirety, 2PraiseGod is an encouragement and inspirational site offering inspiring messages, thoughts, devotionals, testimonies, poems and more. However, if I had to simplify it all, 1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells it best…“ So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”
May the Lord Jesus Christ receive all the glory honor and praise forever and ever; Amen.
First and foremost, I want to state that I’m simply a vessel God chose to use. I’m not perfect and I too have fallen short from the glory of God and have sinned. However, according to 1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” God’s love for me is the same love He has for you. With that being said, I would like to personally welcome you to this site. My name is Naquan and I’m a Christian. God is certainly doing a new thing in my life as well as yours.
Approx. 10 years ago (1999) is when I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Since then, life as I knew it was different. God begin speaking and revealing things to me. Being so young, many times it scared me because I wasn’t use to it, but as I grew older it became less scary. As a child, growing up in New York wasn’t the easiest thing. However, looking back over my life now, I can say that God has surely kept me in His care and destroyed the yokes and plans of the enemy. He’s kept me and my family safe and for that I thank Him.
In 2002, my family and I moved from New York to Virginia. Upon moving to Virginia, I entered the 8th grade which eventually led to me graduating high school with an Advance Diploma in 2007. Spring of 2008, I enrolled into a local community college. Like most other college students, I composed a “plan” for my college career. I had the “perfect plan” and knew exactly what classes I was taking over the next few years and what career field I was going into after I received my bachelors in Business Administration. With all this planning, what I DID NOT factor into my “perfect plan” were the plans Jesus had for my life.
Around September of 2008, God began telling me one of the many plans He has for me in my life and to be honest with you I had a hard time receiving it. The plan God has for my life isn’t little, it’s life changing. I became mad with God because I felt as though God’s plans interfered with my college and career plans. I questioned God so many times and asked him, “Why me?” “How can you use me Lord, I’ve sinned plenty of times and still need to be worked on” “are you sure Lord” and etc. Through all the questioning, what I failed to realized is that before the creation of the world, God already knew my purpose on this earth. He knew me before I knew myself. I’ve learned through scripture that many of the people God choose to use aren't the most spiritual people themselves before aligning their lives with the will of God; such people includes Moses and the Apostle Paul.
It wasn’t until recently (ending of March beginning of May 2009) that I told the Lord I receive all that He has for me in my life and I receive the calling He placed on it. Does this mean that I’ll no longer have questions? No; as long as I’m walking on this earth, I will always have questions. What’s different this time around is my understanding of knowing that there’s simply going to be times when the Lord will tell me to do something and I won’t understand the reasons behind God telling me to do it. Unlike the other times, I now choose to trust the Lord (even when I don’t understand). Why? Because God is a God who knows all things, for the Bible says that He’s the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega. Even if I was 1,000 years old, my understanding wouldn’t come close to the understanding and wisdom of God. Thus, I must make a conscious decision each day to trust the Lord. I make a decision each day to trust Him with my life, finances, everyday decisions and etc. I choose today to trust in the Lord and I pray you choose to do the same as well.
As I walk with Christ, I will share different events in my life - how God has delivered me, saved me and etc all in my blog. In addition, in my blog you will read my experience as a Christian along with any other thing God places in my spirit to share with you. I pray that as I share with you, you're empowered, blessed, saved, touched, delivered and much more in Jesus Name. Be blessed in the Lord my friend and remember YOU can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens YOU. God bless you.
